The Janoska Ensemble is an ensemble renowned for its fusion of diverse musical styles. Fluent in a wide range of musical styles, the ensemble’s classically trained members continuously explore new musical horizons, expanding the possibilities of cross-genre fusion. Their debut album, the Janoska Style, achieved gold status within just a few months of its release, as did the follow-up album Revolution. The albums The Big B’s and The Four Seasons in Janoska Style have also enjoyed great popularity. The ensemble’s original arrangements offer fresh perspectives on classical music and on various areas of the musical repertoire, where the musicians draw on their spontaneous creativity to shape high-quality, innovative, and exciting music that lives and breathes. This distinctive artistic approach is the work of three brothers from Bratislava – violinists Ondrej Jánoška and Roman Jánoška, pianist František Jánoška – together with their brother-in-law, double bassist Julius Darvas. In recognition of their exceptional artistic achievements, this musical family received Slovakia’d prestigious Crystal Wing Award. They have presented numerous masterclasses in improvisation, including at the Kronberg Academy and the Menuhin Festival Gstaad. The Janoska Ensemble has collaborated with some of the most celebrated artists on the international music scene, including Juan Diego Flórez, Julian Rachlin, Anna Netrebko, Bobby McFerrin, and many others.
