Artists
Zorana Latković, the project author, graduated from the Vasa Pavić Art School for Music and Ballet in Podgorica, under the guidance of Professor Larisa Dašić-Simović, and graduated in Vocal Studies from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, under Professor Irina Arsikin. She has held numerous solo concerts and performed both independently and as a soloist with various choirs in the country and abroad. Zorana Latković has served as Executive Secretary and Executive Director of the International Jeunesses Musicales Competition – Belgrade, and as a member of Jeunesses Musicales International. In 2012, she became a member of the Alata female klapa group from Podgorica. |She founded the Montenegrin Luča Vocal Ensemble, where she serves as the Artistic Director. Zorana Latković has performed with the klapa group Alata and participated as a jury member at the International Klapa Festival in Perast. She was a contributor to an essential music textbook for primary music schools and participated in the reform of vocational secondary education. She is the recipient of the Award for Teachers from The Quality and Talent Fund of the Ministry of Education. Zorana Latković initiated and authored the featured project, in which six vocational secondary schools have participated in the preparation and realization of the opera for children Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by Petar J. Krstić. Since 2011, she has been working in Podgorica as a Professor of Vocal Studies and Chamber Music at the Vasa Pavić Art School for Music and Ballet.
Olivera Perunović, the opera director, completed her Vocal Studies at the Vasa Pavić Art School for Music and Ballet in Podgorica under Professor Zorana Latković, and graduated from the Music Academy in East Sarajevo under Professor Klaudija Krkotić. She completed her master’s studies at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka under Professor Dunja Simić. Olivera Perunović has won awards at numerous international competitions, including: First Prizes at the International Viennese Dreams Festival and Competition in Vienna, the Republic Competition in Herceg Novi, the International Bruna Špiler Singing Festival; and Second Prizes at the Moscow International Festival of Slovenian Music and the International Lav Mirski Singing Competition in Osijek. She participated in a course in opera directing with opera and theater director Daniel Kramer. Subsequently, she was invited to serve as a Directing Intern at the Hannover State Opera House, Germany, contributing to the production of Le nozze di Figaro directed by Lydia Steier. Olivera Perunović was also engaged as an Assistant Director for two productions – Die Zauberflöte and Ariadne auf Naxos, during the Summer Program of 2023 at the Berlin Opera Academy. Furthermore, in collaboration with Professor Zorana Latković, she has served as one of the Directors of the opera for children Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
